Project Description: The Burke Museum, located on the campus of the University of Washington opened a completely re-imagined facility in a new location. The new Burke seeks to “break down traditional museum barriers, integrating exhibit spaces with research labs and visible collections storage and inviting visitors to be part of a working museum”. The 113,000 square foot museum is 66% larger than the old Burke facility. JGL scoured potential local vendors and identified the indigenous food truck “Off the Rez” as a potential vendor. Following a competitive bid process, Off the Rez was selected as the café operator and has opened this highly anticipated outlet.
