Colleen Geyer
Business Operations ManagerColleen joined the JGL team in early 2019 with experience in restaurants, operations, and arts management. Starting as a back-of-house employee, Colleen eventually moved to the front-of-house while studying as a theatre major in college. After settling back to her hometown of Pittsburgh, Colleen acquired her first management role with the big Burrito Restaurant Group, to whom she attributes much of her food service knowledge and experience.
Colleen made the decision to return to the arts and became the Front-of-House Manager at Pittsburgh’s City Theatre Company. City Theatre truly facilitated her growth as an arts administrator and deepened her understanding of the not-for-profit sector. Those very qualities made her an exemplary choice for a General Manager position with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Her role with the Trust exercised all her years of restaurant experience and further developed her event planning and programming skills, giving her a well-rounded approach to food service consulting.
After two years as a Junior Associate with JGL, Colleen was promoted to Business Operations Manager, making her the first operationally focused member at JGL.
Her favorite foods are sushi, taco salads, and anything sweet. She also has a collection of shot glasses from the places she visits, which are many, since she loves to travel.
