Carol Botwinick
Administrative AssistantCarol comes from a family of entrepreneurs that opened their first retail/service establishment in 1946. As a teen she began working back-of-house for the family business providing general office services. After raising her family, she returned to the workplace managing retail establishments which specialized in custom designed invitations. In 1992, she opened her own boutique, Write Ideas, as a custom invitation and gift retailer. With the inception of computers, she transformed her business into an invitation shop utilizing the current trend of the time, laser printing and a mechanical calligraphy machine, to create award winning invitations.
After closing her store 12 years later, her journey continued becoming the sole coordinator for Tiffany & Co.’s Engraved Stationery and Invitation Department, located at the flagship store in New York City. Carol was the main point of contact for all Tiffany & Co. stationery and invitations worldwide.
In semi-retirement, she has thoroughly enjoyed becoming part of the JGL family. She assists with multiple projects, enjoying the good fortune to work with each person on the JGL team. Projects include internet research, database support, and assisting at trade shows. When she’s not working on a special project for JGL, she is studying the art of writing and is currently in the process of writing her own memoir.
Her favorite foods are chicken parmesan, pasta, and hot fudge sundaes. Her most fun gift shop find was at the New York Botanical Garden where she purchased a dozen beautiful botanical prints and framed them to create a stunning botanical wall.
