Project Description:
JGL was brought on to facilitate an RFP process to select a new foodservice vendor with an eye toward updating the facilities in a revenue productive manner, and finding a partner who was mission-aligned with the Center’s various public programs.
Following a several-month long competitive process, the contract was awarded to a new foodservice provider who had a dramatic vision for completely reconfiguring the main café and seating area, and introducing technology such as pre-order and self-checkout kiosks that are now an expected guest amenity in the post-COVID world.
After several months of construction which dramatically reconfigured the servery and seating areas, LSC and its new foodservice provider has opened the reimagined Cosmic Café to rave reviews.
The introduction of school lunch programs has also given the Center the ability to better cater to its numerous student groups throughout the year.
